Ford announced today that it has received over 1,000 reservations for the new small car in the first six days that they have been taking them. Perhaps due to the six-month-long Fiesta Movement that got word out about the car, people who reserved a car will now be given a VIP experience at Ford dealers when (if?) they go to actually buy the car.

That first iteration was definitely not ready for production, but the crew at Ruf are not known for taking half measures.

Filed under: EV/Plug-in , Citroen , Europe/EU We took notice that a large portion (60!) of the electric cars in Copenhagen for the ongoing U.N. climate conference were of the Citroen C1 ev’ie variety and had a tiny panic attack. A certain test drive of this electric vehicle last summer had not proceeded, to put it mildly, especially well and had left questions about its durability up in the air.

Delegates from 192 countries are attending and throwing their two cents into the communal pot, including Brazil, which is in Denmark to defend ethanol.

As befitting a car conceived and designed near Imola’s Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari , the premiere was made in spectacular fashion on a rain-soaked and twisty half-mile track located on the fairgrounds. Five professional drivers took their places in five separate Zeros, tapped the “race mode” button, and proceeded to relentlessly attack the circuit.
