Boeing is currently testing biofuels with British Airways Plc and Continental Airlines, but has worked with airlines across the globe as it tries to find suitable, plant-derived aviation fuels

Why? The ad states, “The BMW Concept ActiveE is the first BMW to be powered purely by electricity.” The tagline of the ad reads “100% joy, 0% emissions.” As soon the ad made its way to print, an astute reader pointed out some problems and filed a complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) of the UK.

As reported, Chinese lawmakers are discussing a revamped automotive policy that includes a requirement for all new passenger vehicles to come equipped with hybrid technology beginning in 2012. General manager of Chery New Energy Company , Yuan Tao, said that Chinese officials are currently inking out the details regarding the hybrid technology requirement.

Nissan recently launched the “Leaf Online Research Panel” and emailed hand-raisers in hopes that their active participation will help the company “lay the groundwork for a successful launch of the amazing Nissan Leaf, and for a future in 100 percent electric mobility.” The research panel will be tasked with participating in monthly focus groups, answering brief surveys and taking part in interviews.

Filed under: EV/Plug-in , Porsche Porsche Boxster - Click above for high-res image gallery Porsche has been dabbling in a lot of vehicle electrification in the last several years, ranging from the plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder concept and the 911 GT3R hybrid racer to the new Cayenne hybrid that recently went into production. The latest addition to the electric drive program is a trio of experimental Boxsters that are purely battery powered. Porsche has not revealed any technical details about the cars, but they will be used to test the drive systems as well as infrastructure needs.
